The speed of the energy transition is high and the expectation to change fast is strong, not the least amongst end-users. A key enabler is the growth of the battery industry. The requirements to scale the global battery industry to meet demand are tremendous, not least in terms of the need for metals, financing and long-term investments throughout the battery value-chain. What is equally important is the need for a new, sustainable approach to battery manufacturing. Northvolt has come far on its journey to establish a sustainable battery industry in Europe. Today we are at an exciting point, and ideally positioned to answer the question of how can we contribute more significantly and faster to the transition whilst still maintaining a commitment to sustainability and quality?
