Föredraget kommer att vara ett samarrangemeng med den Finska Bergsmannaföreningen VMY.
Coolbrook’s RotoDynamic Heater (RDH) and RotoDynamic Reactor (RDR) can be used to electrify and decarbonize traditionally hard-to-abate industrial processes, including the production of steel and iron, cement, pulp and paper, petrochemicals and chemicals.
In conventional industrial processes the process heat is produced typically through burning of fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas or oil. RotoDynamic Heater (RDH) is a heat electrification technology to decarbonize industrial heating processes up to 1700°C without burning fossil fuels. In RDH, air, nitrogen and process gases are heated to high temperatures and the heated gas is used outside the heater to replace the burning of fossil fuels in process heating.
RotoDynamic Reactor (RDR) is a pioneering technology in electric cracking, electrifies previously fossil-heavy steam cracking process, reducing process CO2 emissions by 100%. Instead of heating a feedstock mixture indirectly, RDR creates thermal energy to heat the mixture inside the reaction zone, quickly and efficiently.
Coolbrook’s game-changing electrification technology already exists today, and a large and growing number of global industrial partners have expressed interest in using it to cut CO2 emissions and meet crucial climate targets. Coolbrook’s RotoDynamic technology is currently being piloted, and tests on RotoDynamic Heater have been completed, and testing of the RotoDynamic Reactor is ongoing. The technology can be retrofitted to existing production plants and is expected to be ready for commercial scale use in 2025.
At today’s webinar, Lauri Peltola, Chief Commercial Officer at Coolbrook, will talk about the Coolbrook technology and its plans to electrify several industrial processes.
